117 - Time for Tea - Mad Hatter Reflections and Stories from UK Friends
May 04, 2024 Season 4 Episode 17
Linda Leverman

Tea can be daily routine, cultural tradition or simply a great reason to relax, sip and snack.   I attended a Mad Hatter themed tea party in April, and it was so much fun.  Although I was a vendor on the market side, I discovered first hand just how much the tradition of tea is celebrated differently. There's more to afternoon tea than just tea, and believe me, I tasted a few of those desserts and it was sooo worth it.  I dressed up in costume and took the opportunity chat with guests and other vendors.  Of course if peaked my curiosity, and I wondered about the tea habits of my friends in the UK.
*In this episode I talk about the Mad Hatter Tea Party event, touch base with the organizer to hear what inspired her, and even follow up with 4 lovely ladies from UK who give us a sneek peek at what tea means to them.
*This is a nice, relaxing podcast episode.  You may even want to pour a "cuppa", and relax while you listen.  A little positive boost is always a good way to wrap up the day.
*My sincere thanks to Lori Ball from the Comox Valley Home Based Business Association, my UK friends Lynne Webster, Nikki Talbot, Lyndsay Williams and Maureen Chadwick, and everyone who took the time to share stories or allow me photo ops at the event.
